"Methamphetamine is commonly burned. But this is a new technique that is indeed used by RP alias Coki by injecting it into the anus. At that time, the needle was placed first (in the anus) before being injected," said Deonijiu at Metro Tangerang Kota Police, Friday (3/9/2021).

Based on Coki's statement during the examination, injecting methamphetamine through the anus produces a faster reaction than burning it. "According to what he conveyed to the investigator, the process is faster than inhaling," said Deonijiu.

Furthermore, Deonijiu said that Coki learned this technique through a video-sharing website YouTube. "He obtained the recipe from YouTube, which he often searched for more effective usage methods. This method is often used abroad, which he imitated and performed," said Deonijiu.

Meanwhile, the Head of Narcotics Division of Metro Tangerang City Police, AKBP Pratomo Widodo, said that Coki uses methamphetamine by injecting it through the anus because he feels a different pleasure compared to smoking it.

"He feels a different pleasure. He has also experienced smoking it. Then he tried injecting it, and he said the pleasure is more intense," he said.

According to Pratomo Widodo, this method is actually very dangerous for the user's body. "He (Coki) has a strong body. For example, he tries a little bit, like one milligram of methamphetamine dissolved in about five milliliters of hot water. When he tries it, he feels better, so he increases the dosage gradually. He said that he mixes two milligrams with ten milliliters of water, and that's his body's capacity. So he has his own standard for mixing it. This method is dangerous for the user, especially considering that drugs are prohibited and can harm the user," he said.
