Family Reveals the Late Ivo Nilakhresna's Last Wish, Build a Boarding School and Mosque

When met after the burial procession at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, on Saturday (21/5), Astri Ivo conveyed her mother's last message. She said that her mother wanted to build a boarding school and mosque.

"My mother is very generous and has a boarding school, has a mosque. She loves orphans, and our friends, the ustadz, always pray and support her," said Astri Ivo.

1. Realize Mother's Desires

Currently, Astri says that her mother's desire is in process. All of this is done to continue the good deeds of Ivo Nilakhresna during his lifetime.

"Now it's in the process, of course, the pesantren (Islamic boarding school), which is still in Bogor, the corners of the country, the villages have participated in building it, but the first one to build it completely is this one," she said.

"We have followed it since adolescence with all our weaknesses, mistakes, and sins, but my mother has become a good example for her children, siblings, and the community. Many good deeds that my mother taught," she added.

2. Got a Premonition

Astri Ivo also revealed that she had a premonition about her mother's death.

"After Eid, Alhamdulillah, I went home to a new house, then she told my younger sibling, 'Mom doesn't seem to be here for long. Mom is going to innalillahi wa innailaihi rojiun (die),'" said Astri Ivo.

3. Family's Sadness

Because of this, Astri Ivo and her siblings expressed sadness over their mother's words. She then took the initiative to urge all the children to gather and meet their mother in her final moments.

"We kept saying, my sister is sad, I always remind her that this is a temporary separation, God willing, if we obey Allah and ask for His help, we will be reunited. I always say that," she said.

4. A Beautiful Departure

In addition, Astri Ivo also said that her mother's departure was very beautiful for her. Because, before closing her eyes, her mother always read the Quran and even prayed.

"I always pray and bury my mother with light because she read the Quran, every time she slept she read Surah Al-Mulk. Even at the very end, when she was half-conscious, her reflex was to wake up and pray even though she hadn't performed ablution or worn a prayer garment, she got up and prayed because it was her habit," she explained.

"The Prophet taught us how we want to die. We must prepare for it in our younger days. So I see this as a lesson for all of us, especially for our family. If we keep asking for Allah's help, God willing, we will be steadfast in obedience. So we will have a beautiful departure," she concluded.

5. Suffering from Complications

It is known that Ivo Nilakhresna passed away at the age of 83 due to the complications of the disease he suffered from. Currently, the deceased's body has been buried in TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, on Saturday (21/5).
