Four Times Arrested by Police for Drugs, Legal Counsel Rio Reifan Requests Rehabilitation for his Client

Kapanlagi.com - Artist Rio Reifan was arrested by the police again for alleged drug abuse. The 36-year-old actor was apprehended by the police at his residence in East Jakarta.  This is the fourth time Rio Reifan has dealt with the law regarding the same case.

The former husband of Henny Mona was previously arrested for a drug case in January 2015. Then, he was also arrested for the second time in August 2017. 

Then the third time, he was arrested in August 2019. Rio Reifan's legal counsel, Alamsyah Rambe, expressed his surprise that his client was arrested again by the police for alleged drug abuse.

"Honestly, I was very surprised and shocked last night, I also received information from media friends, around 11 o'clock I was contacted by one of the media friends, asking if it's true that Rio Reifan was arrested again? Honestly, I said I didn't know, because I really didn't know, after I received the news, I immediately asked for clarification from Rio himself," said Alamsyah at the Central Jakarta Police, Tuesday (20/4/2021).

1. Already Provided Explanation

Upon arriving at the place where Rio Reifan was apprehended by the police, Alamsyah immediately met with his client. Rio Reifan has also already provided an explanation regarding his problem.

"I have already met with Rio directly, and I have accompanied him to provide the explanation. It is difficult for addicts to fully recover, just like smokers, for example. Cigarette addicts find it hard to quit, even though they have the intention to change. However, their environment still influences their mindset, causing them to revert back to square one," he said.

2. Asking for Rehabilitation

Alamsyah said, after one day in custody at the Central Jakarta Police, Rio Reifan's condition looked tired.

"His condition is a bit exhausted, because he is used to sleeping in a comfortable place, suddenly being detained, I see him a little weak," he said.

Since he has been detained by the police four times for the same case, Alamsyah asked Rio Reifan to be rehabilitated.

"The next step is to request rehabilitation," Alamsyah concluded.
