Hotman Paris Confirms Desiree Tarigan Once Sued Her Own Adoptive Mother, But....

Kapanlagi.com - Recently, there has been circulating on social media that Desiree Tarigan, the mother of former Samsons vocalist Bams, has sued her adoptive mother. Responding to the news, Desiree's lawyer, Hotman Paris, confirmed that his client did sue her adoptive mother.

However, the lawsuit was not due to a dispute between Desiree and her adoptive mother. It was only to complete the state documents regarding the adoption of the child.

"In the past two days, there has been circulating on social media a registration forum for Desi's lawsuit against her mother in 2018. That is indeed true, but it is not a lawsuit in the sense of a real dispute. It is only one of the requirements to obtain her name in the deed of adoption. It is a kind of court decision regarding what is agreed upon, called a deed of adoption," said Hotman Paris in Kelapa Gading area, Saturday (17/4/2021).

Hotman said that the lawsuit was filed by Desiree because many state documents were incomplete. Considering that Desiree was adopted by her foster mother in 1961.

"This is the story, Desi was adopted in 61, imagine in 61, 1961. At that time, there were no complete documents, it's common because it was an old time, only some kind of letter and so on, that was in 61. Then it was realized later that a stronger letter was needed for this adoption," said Hotman.

"However, because she is already grown up, it is no longer possible to follow the usual procedures for adopting a child. Because the usual adoption procedures require various requirements such as going to the ministry and so on," he continued.

2. How to Get a Court Decision

Through this lawsuit, Desiree can obtain a court decision regarding the adoption of the child.

"Finally, the way to get a court decision was taken. So, it was done by obtaining a court decision called the van dading act," he said.

3. No Dispute

Certainly, Hotman deeply regrets the many news reports that portray his client as if he had been cruel to his own adoptive mother. However, every lawyer surely understands about the van dading document.

"Every lawyer will understand that the van dading document is a court decision containing the agreement of the parties. What was agreed upon? It is acknowledged here that Desi is her adoptive mother's child and that the adoption will be recorded in the civil registry office. So there is no dispute in the sense of a fabricated case, no," Hotman concluded.
