Kapanlagi.com - The trial of the traffic accident case reported by the late Laura Anna Gaga Muhammad was held again at the East Jakarta District Court on Thursday (30/12/2021). Today's trial is scheduled for witness testimony and Gaga Muhammad as the defendant.
In the trial, Gaga Muhammad gave his testimony before the panel of judges. In addition to the chronology of the traffic accident, this 21-year-old man also briefly mentioned the 12.6 billion lawsuit. It is known that before this case arose, Gaga Muhammad was sued for 12.6 billion by Laura Anna's family.
"The lawsuit was addressed to my parents. There were three lawsuits, in May, June, and July. In the lawsuit, they demanded (money) 12 billion rupiah," said Gaga Muhammad in court on Thursday (30/12/2021).

After being summoned for 12.6 billion, Gaga admitted that her parents were unable to pay the demands of Laura Anna's family. Apparently, this is what made Gaga no longer take care of Laura Anna.
"After December 16, I didn't come anymore (to take care of Laura Anna at home) because I feel guilty towards my parents. So, we only keep in touch (with Laura)," said Gaga.

After the trial, Gaga Muhammad's lawyer, Fahmi Bachmid, stated that his client deeply regrets the accident caused by his negligence.
"Gaga Muhammad has been examined, has conveyed everything, and he also expressed regret for the incident and apologized. Indeed, he was at fault and careless because even though he was tired, he still insisted on driving the car," said Fahmi.
"So, he was momentarily distracted or, in other words, he fell asleep for a moment. So, when he opened his eyes, there was a sudden car in front of him and instead of stepping on the brakes, he accidentally stepped on the accelerator, causing his car to crash like that," Fahmi concluded.

In this trial, both of Gaga Muhammad's parents, his father Asep Yusman and his mother Janariah, were present to witness their child's trial.
Also present at the trial was Gaga Muhammad's sister, Laura Anna, Greta Irene. The trial is scheduled to continue on January 4th. The scene for the trial is the demand from the Public Prosecutor (JPU).

Gaga Muhammad had an accident on the Jagorawi toll road at KM 10 in 2019. Apparently, before the incident occurred, Gaga Muhammad and Laura had been to a club in the SCBD area. From there, Gaga Muhammad had a meal in the Blok M area of South Jakarta.
"I was with Laura at a club in the SCBD area, along with a friend. From there, around 8 o'clock, we went home, had a meal in Blok M, not long after, around 3 o'clock, we headed home," he said.

At the nightclub, Gaga also admitted to the judges that he had consumed two to three glasses of alcoholic drinks.
"Drinking alcohol, drinking two to three glasses of gin and tonic," he said.
