Hoping Not to Be Silenced, Adam Deni is Ready to Meet Ahmad Sahroni in Court

Kapanlagi.com - Defendant Adam Deni appeared again in the continuation of his trial for alleged dissemination of electronic documents of others on social media without permission at the North Jakarta District Court on Monday (6/4). This time, the agenda of the trial is to hear testimony from Ahmad Sahroni as the plaintiff's witness.

Adam Deni was brought from the detention room to the courtroom around 2:38 PM. Adam Deni appeared in handcuffs and was escorted by two Sabhara police officers from the North Jakarta Police and officials from the North Jakarta District Court.

1. Ready to Meet

Elsya Rosan and her mother, Susian, were also seen accompanying him. Before entering the courtroom, Adam Deni claimed to be ready to meet Ahmad Sahroni. According to him, this is the moment he has been waiting for a long time.

"The moment I have been waiting for, to meet the representative of the people who can silence me," said Adam Deni.

2. Hoping Not to be Silenced

Not only that, Adam Deni also admitted that he has prepared some questions for Ahmad Sahroni during the trial. He hopes that he will not be silenced during the trial.

"I hope that this injustice will be revealed. Yes, hopefully the trial will run smoothly. Hopefully I won't be silenced again when I make a statement," he said.

3. Forgiving and Shaking Hands

A unique moment occurred during the trial when the chief judge asked Sahroni and Adam Deni to forgive each other and shake hands. But before that, Ahmad Sahroni, as the plaintiff and victim, explained about Adam Deni's Instagram post which was considered a threat to him.

"Adam Deni has already apologized through a video, you have also apologized through a video, but (Ahmad Sahroni said) the legal case still applies. Is that right?" said Rudi Kindarto.

"Correct," answered Ahmad Sahroni.

4. The Law Still Applies

The judge then asked Adam Deni and Sahroni to shake hands again. However, the judge stated that forgiveness does not erase punishment, but the relationship is still maintained.

"What I mean is, while we're here, do you want to forgive each other or not? The law still applies. Forgiveness does not erase the law, but the relationship is still maintained," said the judge.

"I have forgiven, Your Honor," answered Sahroni and Adam Deni.

"Have you forgiven each other? Do you want to apologize directly?" asked the judge.

"Sure," they both said.

5. Declared as a Suspect

It is known that Adam Deni has been declared a suspect and a convict after uploading personal documents belonging to the Deputy Chairman of the DPR Commission III, Ahmad Sahroni, on social media without permission. The post is related to the purchase of a bicycle in Sahroni's name and the existence of a narrative that mentions reporting it to the KPK.
