Hotma Sitompul's Complaint Rejected, Hotman Paris Wins PERADI Court Decision

Kapanlagi.com - The Honorary Council of the Indonesian Advocates Association (PERADI) DKI Jakarta has just held a verdict hearing on the complaint of Hotma Sitompul against Hotman Paris who is allegedly violated the code of ethics while being the lawyer of Desiree Tarigan, the mother of Bams formerly from Samsons, on Wednesday (29/9/2021).

In the virtual trial, Hotman Paris as the defendant was declared not guilty of the complaint of violating the code of ethics, which was filed by Hotma Sitompul.There are two alleged violation cases committed by Hotman Paris.First, the complaint of Hotma Sitompul against Hotman Paris regarding the violation of the advocate's code of ethics.

"So today there are two cases of violations of the code of ethics that have been decided by the Regional Honorary Council of Peradi DKI JAKARTA.One complaint from Hotma Sitompul against Hotman Paris, he said I violated the advocate's code of ethics.In his complaint, Hotman Paris was accused of dancing with beautiful girls because he swims wearing only underwear, that's the accusation," said Hotman Paris in his office, Wednesday (29/9/2021)

"They said it violated the code of ethics.I'm worried if I can't dance, what should I do, that's why I fought back.Finally, the Honorary Council of Peradi rejected the complaint from Hotma Sitompul. Hotman Paris' ethical code violation has not been proven. That's the first case," Hotman added.

1. Denying Accusations

Then, the second one, Hotman Paris' complaint against several lawyers of Hotma Sitompul, namely Partahi Sihombing, Muara Karta, and Tommy Sihotang. They were the ones handling the case between Hotma Sitompul and his wife, Desiree Tarigan.

"The second case, Hotman Paris retaliates. I filed a complaint against 4 people. Because Hotma is the principal in that case, he is not punished. The ones punished are his lawyers, I heard clearly that Partahi Sihombing was suspended for three months, while Muara Karta for six months," said Hotman Paris.

"So, brother Partahi, Muara Karta, Tommy Sihotang, you should thank me. I have never seen you on TV. After this, because of Hotman Paris' popularity, you often appear on TV. You should be grateful to me," continued Hotman.

Hotman Paris denies the accusations made by Hotma Sitompul's lawyer while accompanying Desiree Tarigan. In fact, during his time with Desiree Tarigan, Hotman claimed that he never attacked or insulted his opponent's lawyers, namely Partahi Sihombing, Muara Karta, and Tommy Sihotang.

"Hotman always speaks with logic, his legal mind works. He protects me and protects my client. Hotman never utters any harsh words towards his opponents. Hotman never insults fellow lawyers, but you say very harsh words to me," said Hotman Paris.
