Ikang Fawzi Remembers His Late Wife Through Dreams: Always Happy and Always Smiling

When met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, on Monday (10/2/2025), Ikang revealed that dreams about his wife often come. "It seems to be happening more often. And usually, she is in a happy condition, smiling, very beautiful, young in various versions," said Ikang.

In these dreams, Ikang sees Marissa in enjoyable situations. One of the most memorable scenes is when his wife appears to be eating durian. "One scene is when she is eating, there's one eating durian. Then friends also say she is doing hajj. Most of the time, she appears young like that," said the legendary musician with a tone of emotion.

1. Meeting Through Dreams

Even if only through dreams, Ikang feels he can communicate with the deceased even without words. The smile that always adorns Marissa's face serves as a sign that his wife is in a good state. "On average, I communicate like that. Her condition is not like that, she just keeps smiling," said Ikang.

Ikang also revealed that these moments have become his way of releasing his longing. Marissa's presence in his subconscious gives an irreplaceable feeling of peace. "There was one, eating durian. Suddenly I met her, it was really exciting. Suddenly the sadness just diminished and I started to feel happy," he added.

In addition, Ikang also reminisces about how the face of the deceased in his dreams always resembles Marissa's when they first started their relationship. "Her face is like when we first met, when we were dating. Yes, just like that," said the singer of Preman with a small smile.

Although Marissa's presence is now just a memory, Ikang admits he continues to try to make peace with his longing. The presence of his wife in his dreams serves as a reminder that their love remains eternal. "She is always there, but physically she is not. So I have to face all of that and go through the process," he explained.

Ikang also believes that these dreams are God's way of strengthening his heart. Through small moments in his subconscious, Ikang feels that his wife is still accompanying him and providing encouragement. "InsyaAllah she is doing well," he expressed with full conviction.
