Kris Dayanti Bids Farewell to Her Manager Who Accompanied Her Since the Beginning of Her Career

The sadness of the singer of Menghitung Hari was clearly visible as she accompanied Selby's body to its final resting place at TPU Pondok Benda, Pamulang, South Tangerang, on Tuesday (2/4/2025). Dressed in all black, Kris Dayanti was seen several times staring blankly at the coffin that had been placed on the grave.

1. KD Couldn't Hold Back Her Tears

Yuni Shara's younger sister couldn't hold back her tears as she threw white jasmine flowers into the grave. The loss of someone who had been by her side since the beginning of her career hit her hard.

"We have been together for 32 years, I started working from scratch at the beginning of my career, this is certainly a loss," said Kris Dayanti after the funeral.

As a loyal manager accompanying her, Selby played a significant role in Kris Dayanti's career journey. They shared many memories together, especially in building her name in the local music industry.

"The last memory was him (Selby) accompanying me to work out of town," she said.

2. Considered Family

Not just as a coworker, Selby was considered part of the family by Kris Dayanti. Their togetherness for more than three decades created such a close bond.

"He is like my own family. This departure is a blessing, because Selby no longer has to endure pain for too long," she explained.

The last moment Kris Dayanti spent with Selby became a memory she will always cherish. She felt grateful to have been able to accompany her manager from the time of treatment until the funeral as a final tribute.

"I am grateful to have been able to escort him to the grave. May God raise him to Heaven," said Kris Dayanti.
