Raffi Ahmad Encourages Collaboration in the Creative Industry for a More Advanced Indonesia

Kapanlagi.com - Raffi Ahmad, who currently serves as the Special Envoy of the President for Youth Development and Artists, expressed his views on the importance of collaboration in Indonesia's creative industry and digital economy. At the EMTEK Connect Vol. 3 event in Jakarta on Thursday (6/2/2025), he emphasized that collaboration is the key to unlocking the great potential of the nation.

"First of all, I am here as the special envoy of the president for youth development and artists, and I greatly appreciate the contributions from the business ecosystem to Emtek Media Group. This is very important for nurturing the media, technology, and creative economy industries," said Raffi Ahmad.

According to Raffi, Indonesia has immense digital economic potential. With more than 185 million internet users, the country ranks fourth in the world after China, India, and the United States. He added that Indonesia's digital economic potential is estimated to reach IDR 5,800 trillion by 2030, with e-commerce transactions projected to reach IDR 2,400 trillion.

"Indonesia is actually very, very huge. Our digital economic potential is extraordinary for monetizing digital content transactions with intellectual property rights ownership," he continued.

1. Hoping Indonesia Produces Local IP

However, Raffi pointed out that although the value of intellectual property (IP) licensing in Indonesia is expected to reach Rp300 trillion by 2024, it is still largely dominated by foreign IP. He hopes Indonesia can produce local IP that can compete in the international market.

"If we look at Malaysia, there is Upin Ipin which is still active until now, we should be able to do the same. Some of our local IPs, such as Juki and Rans Animasi Cipung Abubu, have already started to take off. I believe that we can produce extraordinary IP as soon as possible," said the husband of Nagita Slavina.

Raffi also mentioned that collaboration is an important factor in supporting the development of local IP. According to him, support from various parties, both government and private, can ensure that Indonesian IP can develop and compete on the global stage.

"The creative world can go anywhere. Collaboration is the key. The goal is the same, which is to provide a positive impact and inspiration for the community, as well as to entertain," Raffi stated.

2. Encourage the Younger Generation to be Digitally Literate

In addition to promoting the growth of local IP, Raffi also invites the younger generation to be more digitally literate. He emphasizes the importance of digital creators as the driving force of the economy through more creative MSME products and attractive affiliate programs.

"I invite everyone, the younger generation and private sectors, to collaborate with the government. Let's take advantage of the digital economic potential that is already in front of us," he said.

As a public figure with significant influence, Raffi also uses the Rans Entertainment platform as a concrete example of contribution in the creative world. With over 157 million followers, he hopes to continue providing inspiration and entertainment that has a positive impact.

"The hope is that we can leave a legacy of products that are still alive even when we are gone. The creative world must continue to evolve, and I believe together we can achieve it," he concluded.
