Immediately Undergo Trial, 7 Prosecutors Ready to Guard Richard Lee's Case at Tangerang District Court

The legal case involving doctor and influencer Richard Lee has entered a new chapter. After the case files were declared complete or P21, Richard was officially transferred to the Banten High Prosecutor's Office and is now waiting for the schedule of the first trial.

This case originated from a report by influencer Samira Farahnaz or Detective Doctor (Doktif) regarding alleged violations of the Consumer Protection and Health Laws. Richard Lee is accused of making overclaims about beauty products and services marketed through his clinic.

The Tangerang City Prosecutor's Office confirmed that the second phase process was carried out last Friday. The transfer includes the suspect as well as the evidence from the investigator to the examining prosecutor.

"Today is Monday, and I can inform you that the suspect/defendant today, DRL, has been received for transfer on Friday. On that Friday, it was declared the second phase. The second phase is the transfer, the handover of the suspect and evidence," said the Head of Intelligence at the Tangerang District Attorney's Office, Anak Agung Made Suarja Teja, when met in the Tangerang area, Monday (8/6/2026).

According to the prosecutor's office, the examination of Richard Lee went smoothly. After receiving the case transfer, the Prosecutor's Office immediately sent the files to the Tangerang District Court via the electronic system. Currently, the court is still verifying before determining the trial schedule.

The case of Richard Lee has attracted public attention since the end of 2025. Besides his status as a doctor and influencer with millions of followers, the ongoing legal process has also often been a highlight on social media.

To handle the case, the Prosecutor's Office formed a team consisting of seven public prosecutors. Four prosecutors are from the Tangerang District Prosecutor's Office and three others from the Banten High Prosecutor's Office."So, after the second stage was conducted, that afternoon we immediately submitted the case files to the court. The prosecutor's office estimates that the trial schedule will be set soon after all administrative processes are completed by the court. Richard Lee himself is currently a detainee held by the prosecutor's office while awaiting the first trial agenda to be held.
