As the year transitions to 2026, Indonesia is plagued by various disasters and tragic events. This has caught the attention of presenter Indra Bekti, who feels very concerned about the recent conditions in the homeland.

From natural disasters in Sumatra, building fires, to traffic accidents involving school children, Bekti's heart is torn. He feels that this year's end is filled with alternating news of sorrow.

"Of course it's sad, I'm concerned about the disasters that are happening, and of course, my best prayers go out to our brothers and sisters affected by the disasters and misfortunes," he said when met in the Harmonie area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (12/11/2025).

For Bekti, this series of events is both a test and a harsh reminder for humanity. He invites the community to reflect and improve themselves amidst this uncertain situation.

"This is what a test is, and hopefully this can also serve as a reminder for us to become better people, to improve ourselves," he stated.

Bekti even specifically mentioned several viral incidents that occurred in close succession. He feels horrified by the numerous tragic events that seem to endlessly adorn the news screens.

"Today madness is happening, yesterday there was a fire, today there are school children, not to mention Kalibata which is still unresolved, clashes between collectors and residents, there is also a suicide in Blok M, jumping from the 5th floor," Bekti revealed.

Seeing this phenomenon, this father of two could not hide his shock. He feels that the world is currently in a very chaotic state.

"There are so many incidents, do you know what this is? What is it, the world has gone crazy," he said with a concerned tone.

In the midst of this sadness, Bekti still holds onto positive hopes for the coming year. He has a simple yet meaningful resolution for himself and his family.

"The resolution for next year is hopefully to be healthier for sure. Then, to advance my career even more, and hopefully, God willing, I can go for Umrah and Hajj with my family," concluded Indra Bekti.
