Jenny Rachman Forced to Be Picked Up in Connection with Vandalism Case, Police: Said to Be Out of Town

Kapanlagi.com - Pondok Aren Police Station, South Tangerang, forcibly picked up senior artist Jenny Rachman. The 64-year-old woman was reported to have skipped two summons from investigators regarding the alleged case of house vandalism of Alia Karenina.

As many as 10 members of the Pondok Aren Police Station, South Tangerang, visited Jenny's residence on Sumenep Street, Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Monday (24/7) night. Chief of Criminal Investigation AKP Erwin Subekti led the pick-up operation at around 8:00 PM.

"Yes, it's true (we have picked her up), and the security statement is like that (Jenny is not there)," said Erwin when contacted by the media on Wednesday (26/7/2023).

"Meanwhile, I cannot enter by force, if the person is not there, it's useless, so I will wait until she is there, and then we will go there," added Erwin Subekti.

1. Police Failed to Carry Out Duties

As a result, the police failed to carry out their duties that night. Moreover, they received news that Jenny is currently out of town.

"Yes, she was said to be out of town, yes, twice (absent). She was picked up on Monday, the 24th," said Erwin.

"So we consider her uncooperative. What does she want if she is uncooperative like that? It means she is not a good citizen," Erwin continued.

2. Jenny Rachman is Always Absent

Not only that, the police also visited the house of Rita Rachman, Jenny's sister. Like her sister, Rita was also not at her residence.

As a reminder, Jenny Rachman and her sister, Rita Rachman, were reported by Alia Karenina regarding the alleged vandalism of her house with police report LP/80/K/III/2022/Sek.Aren. Both of them have been designated as suspects in September 2022.

Jenny and Rita are charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 406 of the Criminal Code regarding assault and/or destruction. The investigators have also sent two summonses to both suspects, but they always absent with the reason of being out of town.
