Originally Priced at 350 Thousand, Jimi Multhazam Shocked as Vinyl Album Matraman Soars to 3 Million
The price of the vinyl album 'Matraman' by The Upstairs has skyrocketed to Rp 3 million after its re-release.
Kapanlagi.com - Singer Jimi Multhazam is surprised because his performance payment was cut by the National Collective Management Agency (LMKN). In fact, this vocalist of MORFEM and The Upstairs has never registered as a member.
"Ah this is interesting, I still haven't registered with LMKN. Only a few times I performed, it was deducted by LMKN, I don't know where it went," said Jimi at the Demajors office, Wednesday (12/3/2025).
The deductions not only occurred during his music performances but also in several other projects. Jimi emphasized that he has not received a clear explanation regarding the deductions.
"LMKN is also involved as I have a connection with one of the LMKN. But indeed, until my last performance, there were still deductions of a certain percentage on the tickets, and even on my podcast," he revealed.
The lack of clarity in this system makes Jimi want to request clarification directly from the relevant parties. He hopes for an official explanation regarding the deduction mechanism.
"Well, that is still there, I am still unclear. Until I get clarity, I will invite LMKN. But until now, I still have not received an explanation about that," said Jimi.
Nevertheless, Jimi continues to support the existence of LMKN if it is run with a transparent system. He believes the initial intention of this institution is quite good, especially in protecting the rights of musicians.
"I agree with LMKN, because it's as easy as you can call us on our Instagram account," he explained.
Jimi also highlighted how this system is still in the development stage. He hopes that soon, this regulation can be clearer and beneficial for all parties.
"From LMKN, they say the system is currently being built, so it should be built soon," concluded Jimi.
