The final chapter of the illegal vape circulation case involving actor Jonathan Frizzy has finally arrived. In a verdict session held at the Tangerang District Court on Wednesday (22/10/2025), the panel of judges officially sentenced the former husband of Dhena Devanka to 8 months in prison.

Ijonk, as he is affectionately called, was present in the courtroom. With a calm expression, he listened to the reading of the verdict that determined his fate. The judge stated that Ijonk was proven legally and convincingly guilty of participating in the distribution of a pharmaceutical preparation in the form of vape liquid containing the substance etomidate.

"We impose a prison sentence on the defendant for eight months," said the Chief Judge while reading the verdict.

This sentence is lighter than the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU) who previously requested that Ijonk be sentenced to one year in prison.

The detention period that Ijonk has served since July 14, 2025, will be deducted from his total sentence.

After hearing the verdict, Jonathan Frizzy's side did not immediately take a stance. His lawyer, Ida Bagus Ivan Dharmadipraja, stated that they would take time to consider the next legal steps, whether to accept the verdict or file an appeal.

"Regarding the verdict, we will think it over, Your Honor," said Ivan to the panel of judges.

As is known, this case originated from the disclosure of a liquid vape business containing etomidate, a type of hard drug categorized as an unlicensed pharmaceutical product. Ijonk is suspected of having a role in overseeing and facilitating the distribution of the substance imported from abroad.

This father of three has been charged under Article 435 of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health.

With this verdict, Jonathan Frizzy must now serve the remainder of his sentence at the Tangerang Youth Correctional Facility. The final decision on whether to pursue an appeal or not will be a new chapter awaited in the coming days.
