The fate of two artists who are now politicians, Eko Patrio and Uya Kuya, is currently at a critical point after being deactivated from their membership in the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). Amid the ongoing process within the party, the National Mandate Party (PAN) faction has taken a firm stance regarding their status.

The head of the PAN faction in the DPR RI, Putri Zulkifli Hasan, provided the latest news regarding the steps taken by her party. Not to be taken lightly, the faction has proposed that Eko and Uya no longer receive their financial rights as members of the council during their non-active period.

Putri Zulkifli Hasan emphasized that although the process in the Party Court is still ongoing, a proposal to terminate all facilities attached to their positions has been officially submitted. This is a serious consequence of their current status.

"Still in the process of the Party Court, but we have already submitted that inactive DPR Members should not receive salaries, allowances, and other facilities attached to DPR Members. We respect the process," she said when contacted by the media on Wednesday (03/9/2025).

On the other hand, Putri also provided an update on the current condition of both celebrities. According to her, both Eko Patrio and Uya Kuya are currently choosing to calm themselves and spend more time with their beloved families.

Specifically, it reveals Uya Kuya's activities which are now focused on personal matters that demand considerable attention, ranging from taking care of his parents to the loss of his beloved pet.

"Alhamdulillah healthy, spending a lot of time with family to calm myself. As far as I know, Mas Uya is also taking care of his mother and mother-in-law and searching for his lost cats," said Putri.

Regarding the potential complaint that will be submitted to the Honorary Council of the House (MKD), Putri stated that they will follow all applicable procedures without exception. "We respect all existing processes," asserted the daughter of senior politician Zulkifli Hasan.

Meanwhile, regarding the public demands that have been widely discussed, the PAN Faction expressed its openness to dialogue. "The PAN Faction is open to all input and ready to discuss this matter together with other factions in the DPR," he concluded.
