The presenter who is now a member of the DPR, Uya Kuya, speaks out regarding the looting incident that affected his home. Uya Kuya assures that he and his family are in good condition. However, he is reluctant to explain in detail about the looting incident. He is concerned that his words will be misinterpreted and lead to controversy.

"Alhamdulillah, we are healthy. The point is, I won’t say much for now, let’s keep it conducive first. Because if I say anything, it might be wrong, and I’m afraid it will be twisted and edited again," said Uya Kuya during a video call with Jusuf Hamka on Tuesday (2/9/2025).

"Because even when I didn’t say anything yesterday, they made videos using my old videos and gave captions as if I was speaking," Uya Kuya added.

On that occasion, Uya Kuya also reported on the condition of his wife, Astrid Kuya. He only asked for prayers from the media crew for the well-being of his family.

He also emphasized that his family has accepted everything that was lost due to the looting.

"Just pray for the best. Right now, I am taking care of my family, managing everything, and we are sincere about it," said Uya Kuya.

However, there is one thing that Uya Kuya regrets the most, which is his missing pet cats.

He firmly requested that the perpetrators return his beloved animals. "What’s important is please return our cats, that’s all," he said.

He reiterated that the fate of his cats is now his main focus.

"Sincere, sincere, sincere. God willing, sincere. The important thing is that my cats come back, that's all. What I think about is my cats," Uya concluded.
