Making a Living in Indonesia, Denada Sad to Leave Her Child

Kapanlagi.com - Singer and actress Denada has been living in Singapore since 2018 to facilitate the treatment process for her daughter, Aisha, who has blood cancer or leukemia.

According to Denada, since the relaxation of health protocols due to the easing of the Covid-19 pandemic, she has been able to freely travel back and forth between Indonesia and Singapore to make a living and pay for her child's medical expenses.

"I come back here once a month. But in Indonesia, I stay for a week or two, and next month I'll go back to Singapore. This month and next month, I have Zumba tours, traveling to lead Zumba classes at several events," said Denada, who was met in Jakarta on Tuesday (14/6).

1. Sad to Leave Her Child

Denada is happy to be able to make a living again. However, as a mother, it is difficult for her to leave her child behind.

"Actually, on one hand, I'm sad because I don't want to leave my child for too long," she said.

2. Crying Every Night

Every time she wants to go to Indonesia, Denada admits to struggling emotionally, causing her to cry every night. "Every time I want to go back to Indonesia, I always cry every night," she said.

Moreover, her daughter is not an easy child to leave behind. As a mother, she tries her best to provide the best explanation to her child.

"Yesterday she cried (when I left). But I tried to explain. So I tried to give an explanation, that as a parent, it is our responsibility to work and make a living. That's the responsibility and duty of parents," she said.

3. Has Not Found a Job in Singapore

Denada realizes as a mother, ideally she should seek a livelihood that doesn't require being far from her child for too long. However, she hasn't found a decent job in Singapore.

"Ideally, I would work without being far from him, if I could choose, that's what I told him. I don't want my child to think I'm having fun in Indonesia," she concluded.
