Nikita Mirzani Falls Ill in Detention Ahead of Eid, Legal Counsel: It's a Toothache

Unpleasant news comes from the sensational artist Nikita Mirzani who is currently serving her sentence in detention. Ahead of the Eid al-Fitr holiday yesterday, the woman commonly known as Nyai was reported to have fallen ill and required medical treatment.

Many speculations have emerged suggesting that Nikita's declining health is due to stress after her cassation request was rejected by the Supreme Court (MA). However, this negative news was firmly denied by her legal advisory team.

It turns out that Nikita's declining health is not caused by mental burden or legal issues she is facing, but rather due to a physical health problem that she has long complained about. Nikita is said to be experiencing a recurrence of her dental issues during her detention period.

"Oh, regarding the illness? That's right, Niki is sick, has a toothache. It flared up. Then we received a letter to seek treatment outside. But the letter to seek treatment outside is for the hospital designated by the court itself, which is at Adhyaksa Hospital, South Jakarta, on Monday (30/3/2026)," said Galih Rakasiwi when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Tuesday (31/3/2026).

The legal counsel explained that the process of Nikita's treatment faced some technical difficulties. Although permission to seek treatment at the hospital designated by the court had been granted, it turned out that the equipment or handling at that hospital did not meet Nikita's medical needs. This caused the legal team to seek other steps to ensure their client received the appropriate care.

"However, when a check was conducted, it turned out that there were differences, so it could not be handled by that hospital. Therefore, based on the findings at the hospital that was previously designated by the District Court, a request will likely be submitted again for an examination at the hospital where Nikita Mirzani usually receives treatment," revealed Galih Rakasiwi.

"That's right, because Niki already has her own dentist. Yesterday she really was in pain, toothache, like that," Galih continued.

This denial is also reinforced by the statement that Nikita Mirzani's mental condition is actually quite stable. Although she is disappointed with the Supreme Court's decision, it does not make her physically ill. The legal team assures that Nikita's illness is purely a dental issue that requires specialist treatment.

"No. Alhamdulillah, everything is fine. No, it’s not an illness related to this decision. Whatever the decision, Niki has entrusted us to make the cassation memory yesterday, right," Galih said.

"As for the outcome of the decision, we have made efforts to seek justice, yes. Justice in the sense that we have filed a cassation legal effort and now the result is what it is, we cannot do much about it," concluded Galih Rakasiwi.
