No One Defends When Facing Problems with KPI, Ivan Gunawan: Alhamdulillah I Don't Have Artist Friends

"I don't know, I don't have artist friends. Alhamdulillah, I don't have artist friends, I never ask that kind of question because nowadays artists take care of themselves," Ivan said when met at Hotel Borobudur, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (24/1/2024).

Not without reason, the man known as Igun admitted that he no longer has friends among fellow artists. When he had a problem with the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) regarding the clothing he wore, none of his friends helped.

"Yesterday, when I was being protested, everyone stayed silent, so I felt even more like I don't have friends, so I just consider everyone as customers," Ivan said.

Finally, Ivan chose to withdraw from the morning program that he had been participating in for several years. Although, according to him, both the clothing and other attributes were within reasonable limits, especially since there are still many others who go beyond him and do not receive reprimands.

"Actually, after I posted that, I thought why should I care so much about other people, but there I told you, if you want to criticize, criticize everything, don't just do it randomly," Ivan requested.

"Moreover, the crown, I'm not a crazy person who goes to Mangga Dua and wears a crown, that crown is from an international competition, the Miss Grand International against hundreds of countries, so if I wear that crown, I consider it as an award for myself, apparently according to them the crown is a female attribute, I don't know if there are people in the entertainment industry, fashion, now it's more exciting to dress up," Ivan continued.

Many people assume that after resigning as a morning show presenter, Ivan's economy has declined. But, Ivan admitted that other jobs keep coming, especially in the fashion field.

"As I step back, brands are happy, it's easy to find Igun can ask for permission anytime without any restrictions," he concluded.
