Not Accepting Threats Over the Phone, Yuyun Sukawati Reports Fajar Umbara Again

Kapanlagi.com - Previously, Fajar Umbara, the ex-husband of artist Yuyun Sukawati, was named a suspect in a domestic violence or domestic abuse case. However, Yuyun expressed her disappointment with the verdict received by Fajar Umbara, as she felt it was still insufficient and unfair. Her ex-husband, who had committed violence against her and their child, was only sentenced to two years in prison.

A few moments after Fajar Umbara was imprisoned, Yuyun Sukawati admitted that she still could not live peacefully. Apparently, Yuyun received threats from Fajar through a phone call.

"Fajar once threatened me using a cell phone from prison. He threatened and intimidated me," said Yuyun when contacted on Monday (4/10/2021).

After receiving the threatening phone call, Yuyun immediately reported the incident to the Head of Tangerang Class II A Youth Penitentiary, where Fajar is serving his prison sentence. As a result of his actions, Fajar was sanctioned and placed in isolation for 14 days.

"I immediately reported it to the head of the penitentiary. Alhamdulillah, the Head of the Penitentiary took immediate action. So Fajar is in isolation for 14 days," said Yuyun.

Since getting married in 2019, Yuyun has often experienced domestic violence, which is almost daily, carried out by Fajar Umbara. Yuyun admitted to being frequently choked, spat on, thrown, and dragged out of the house. Fajar's mistreatment is not only limited to Yuyun, but the male child from a previous marriage with the initials HAW is also a victim of violence.

Feeling unsatisfied with the verdict received by Fajar Umbara, Yuyun requested the Prosecutor's Office to appeal the domestic violence case. Until now, the Banten High Court is handling the case.

"Pray that my child can get justice in the Banten High Court so that Fajar's punishment can be increased from the previous verdict," said Yuyun.
