Oka Antara admitted to being surprised by the massive number of films registered this year, reaching 90 titles from 50 production houses.
"To be honest, I never knew that there was an increase in the number of films submitted. Like just now, there are 90 films from 50 production houses; I never counted them," said Oka Antara when met in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Friday (7/11/2025).

However, what caught his attention the most is the regeneration in the acting world. According to him, there are now more and more young actors and actresses who not only get leading roles but also demonstrate exceptional acting quality.
"There are so many leading actors now, we are the younger ones. And they perform really well. So it’s quite challenging for me to assess and categorize them and to determine the winners," he said.

The IMAA event will be held for the 19th time and continues to consistently appreciate the film industry professionals. Fajar Kurniawan, as the Executive Producer of RCTI, emphasizes his television station's commitment to supporting the national film industry.
"The Indonesian Movie Actors Awards this year is the 19th event and remains consistent in appreciating the creative ideas and hard work of national film professionals as the main element and spearhead of a film's success," said Fajar Kurniawan.

Together with other jurors such as Happy Salma, Anggy Umbara, and Muhadkly Acho, Oka admitted that the judging process was very exciting. A clash of opinions became inevitable when deciding who is the best.
"Exciting, many opinions, there were clashes of opinions," he asserted.

The finale of the IMAA 2025 awards will be broadcast live by RCTI on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 21:00 WIB.
"Hopefully, IMAA can motivate the people in the film industry of the homeland to continue presenting their best works," concluded Fajar Kurniawan.
