The news of Emilia Contessa's passing was not only shocking to the public but also to Risna. She admitted she was surprised because she was contacted by many media personnel asking for confirmation regarding Emilia's death.
Risna immediately contacted Denada's assistant and received confirmation. Emilia passed away in the hospital at 6:00 PM WIB. Risna mentioned that Emilia had been suffering from diabetes for a long time.
"As far as I know, Denada's mother has had diabetes and high blood pressure for a long time. She has been ill for a long time, and she also had the chance to receive treatment in Jakarta for a wound on her foot," explained Risna.
Furthermore, Risna mentioned that several artists had intended to pay their respects, including Baim Wong and Anya Dwinov. Risna also revealed that Emilia passed away in Banyuwangi, not in Jakarta.
Risna also revealed one of Emilia's unfulfilled wishes, which was to hold a reunion concert with senior singers from the country.
"Last July, she called me expressing that she wanted to have a reunion with other friends, wanting to hold a concert later to gather other friends," said Risna.
Although she has not yet been able to realize that wish, Emilia remains a dedicated figure in Risna's eyes. "Aunt Emil is a woman full of dedication, powerful, when seeing Denada super. (Denada) never stops creating because she does too," she concluded.
