After officially divorcing from Baim Wong, Paula Verhoeven stated that she found several irregularities in the trial process. She expressed this while reporting alleged ethical violations by the judge to the Judicial Commission, Central Jakarta, Thursday (17/4/2025).
"I am here demanding justice for the ruling based on the existing evidence. That’s why I went to the judicial commission," said Paula.
She regrets the judges' decision, which she believes did not consider important facts presented in the courtroom. "I feel there are indications of violations of the code of ethics and the judges' conduct guidelines carried out by the panel of judges of the South Jakarta religious court," she asserted.
Paula claimed to have denied all allegations of infidelity during the trial process. "I have done everything, and there is no evidence of infidelity," she said.
She also highlighted that the allegations directed at her were not accompanied by valid evidence, either legally or factually on the ground. "Legally, the evidence of infidelity is hard to prove, and I can guarantee that there is no evidence of infidelity there," Paula stated.
According to her, there are no recordings or witnesses that can support the allegations. "There are no recordings and also four witnesses who saw me cheating," she added.
Paula emphasizes that what she is fighting for now is not only her reputation but also justice for the future of her two children. "I just want justice for my kids," said Paula.
With a hopeful tone, she asks the public and the relevant parties to understand her position as a mother who only wants to protect her children from the negative impacts of her parents' conflict.
