In 2014, this 28-year-old woman decided to leave the entertainment world. The reason is that she admitted feeling uncomfortable and wanted to focus on exploring a new profession as a yoga instructor.
After getting married, Nanda also followed her husband to settle in the Netherlands. Because of the difficulty in adapting to the new environment, this mother of one child was diagnosed by a doctor with natural mood swings or bipolar.
"So at that time, I was diagnosed with mood swings or bipolar, and I used to have therapy, but I was already stable before getting pregnant. The doctor often called me for check-ups, asking about my condition," said Nanda Gita when met in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta recently.
"Also, after giving birth, we are prone to baby blues, so it was also monitored," she added.
Nanda also said that she finally recovered because she could find something she liked. She admitted that the cause of her bipolar disorder was due to stress from the new environment in the Netherlands.
"Only after finding what I like in the Netherlands, like cooking, making a YouTube channel, I no longer like it. Maybe because I was stressed before, new environment, extreme weather, starting from scratch with work. My degree is not used but certification is used but there are not as many classes as in Jakarta. Basically, it's just because of adaptation," he said.
In addition, Nanda said that support from her husband is also important to her. Her recovery from bipolar disorder was also supported when she gave birth to a baby at that time.
"My husband also supports and allows me to work whatever he doesn't put pressure on me. So I can be more creative and relaxed," she said.
"True. Because at that time, it was winter in the Netherlands when I was bipolar. Well, Hasya was born in November during winter so I didn't think about how the weather was outside. For me, it became the most beautiful winter because I had a baby," he concluded.
