Petty Tunjungsari revealed that her mother, Titiek Puspa, once expressed her wish to be buried in her hometown. However, that intention did not materialize due to very human reasons, to avoid burdening many parties.

The family chose to bury Titiek in Jakarta to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Titiek now rests peacefully in TPU Tanah Kusir, Jakarta.

"On the 24th, she suddenly (said) that she would be buried near my parents' graves in Temanggung. Then I fell silent when she said that, and then she mentioned it was too far if in Temanggung," said Petty Tunjungsari when met at TPU Tanah Kusir, Kebayoran, South Jakarta, Friday (11/4/2025).

Petty explained that she initially rejected the plan because she considered the presence of fans and relatives of the late person, most of whom live in Jakarta.

"It's not just me who feels that the fans are too far away, mom feels the same way. Mom is not only a family member but also belongs to Indonesia, it would be a hassle if she were in Temanggung, right? Oh right," said Petty.

Finally, Titiek Puspa was buried at TPU Tanah Kusir, not far from the graves of the nation's heroes, including Bung Hatta. This location is considered more representative and accessible to the public.

Petty mentioned that there are currently no plans to move the grave. The decision has been made based on family considerations and the wishes of the deceased."I don't know, so far there hasn't been any," she said.

According to Petty, Titiek Puspa is not only a mother figure for the family, but also belongs to the Indonesian nation. Therefore, the decision regarding the burial must consider broader interests.
