Piyu Padi Reborn Remembers Performing Together with Titiek Puspa in 2007

Kapanlagi.com - Titiek Puspa passed away at the age of 87 after being treated for more than two weeks at RS Medistra, Jakarta. She suffered a brain hemorrhage on the left side of her head before finally passing away on Thursday, April 10, 2025.

Sweet memories with the maestro still linger in Piyu's heart, the guitarist of Padi Reborn. One of the most memorable moments for him was performing with the late artist in 2007.

"In 2007, we had an event at Trans TV, where we performed with her. She sang the Padi song 'Cahaya Mata,'" said Piyu when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (4/10/2025).

Piyu feels that the experience was very memorable because he could share the stage with a legendary figure. According to him, Eyang Titiek is an artist who always gives her all when performing.

In addition to memories on stage, Piyu also keeps advice from Eyang that he still remembers to this day. The advice relates to the spirit of creating in the music world.

"At that time, I remember Eyang Titiek said to never get tired of creating," said Piyu.

He believes Eyang Titiek has a great dedication to the world of art through her works that remain relevant across generations. Her songs are still often heard and sung to this day.

"Eyang Titiek Puspa's greatest contribution has provided an extraordinary impact through her songs and works. Her songs can inspire many people," he explained.

3. Piyu Likes the Works of Titiek Puspa

In fact, since childhood, Piyu has liked the work of Titiek Puspa titled Bimbim. That song has been one of his favorites since he was five years old.

"And I, when I was little, was one of those who liked Eyang Titiek's song titled Bimbim. It was truly amazing, I still remember that song until now, even though I was only 5 years old," he said.
