Raisa Presents Her Brother and Caregiver as Witnesses in Divorce Hearing

The divorce hearing of Raisa and Hamish Daud was held again at the South Jakarta Religious Court with the agenda of evidence presentation. In this session, Raisa's side not only brought written evidence but also presented two witnesses to strengthen her claims.

Raisa's legal counsel, Putra Lubis, explained that his team had prepared all the needs for the hearing, including the witnesses. The witnesses brought were close individuals who are aware of Raisa and Hamish Daud's household conditions. One of the witnesses is Raisa's own biological brother, Rinaldi Nurpratama.

"The witnesses included her brother, named Aldi. And also, what do you call it, not an employee, but a family collaborator, the caregiver, named Linda," Putra Lubis stated.

In addition to witnesses, Raisa's side also submitted written evidence to the panel of judges. The evidence consists of standard documents required in the divorce process, namely the marriage certificate and the child's birth certificate. "Just the marriage certificate. The marriage certificate and the birth certificate," said Putra.

Putra added that the evidence is currently only administrative in nature. The purpose is to validate the marriage status between the plaintiff and the defendant in the eyes of the law. No other more specific evidence related to the cause of the divorce was submitted in today's hearing."There is none, there is none. So the written evidence was indeed to prove that the person is married and has children. So that was the only evidence," he explained further.

The next hearing is scheduled to take place in two weeks. Raisa's legal counsel has been given the opportunity by the panel of judges to prepare additional evidence if necessary. This process is expected to clarify the case before the judge makes a final decision.

"Our next agenda gives us the opportunity to submit additional evidence if we want to, we will submit it later," concluded Putra Lubis. In the hearing that took place today, Raisa as the plaintiff surprisingly appeared directly in the courtroom. Although she is in mourning after losing her mother, Raisa still took the time to attend the Religious Court.

Raisa's attorney, Putra Lubis, confirmed her attendance. According to Putra, this hearing's agenda indeed requires the principal's presence for identity verification. Nevertheless, the legal team was somewhat doubtful that Raisa could attend given the mourning condition still enveloping the extended family. "Well, then yesterday we also learned, Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un, that our client's mother has passed away. So that also became a condition that we had to confirm or schedule her attendance," said Putra Lubis during an online interview on Monday (1/12/2025).

The son admitted that he did not expect Raisa to finally agree to come. The communication that took place was acknowledged to be quite sudden on the morning before the hearing began. Raisa was reported to have left her home in Cinere and went straight to the court to fulfill the applicable legal procedures.
