Reported Farhat Abbas, Denny Sumargo: It Means I Will Be Reported, Yes I Will Face It

Kapanlagi.com - The feud between Denny Sumargo and Farhat Abbas is heating up after Farhat reported Denny to the South Jakarta Metro Police for alleged hate speech. The report is recorded under number LP/3462/XI/2024/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA on November 7, 2024. In response to this legal action, Denny has finally chosen to report Farhat back.

Denny claims he does not feel disappointed or provoked. Instead of being emotionally triggered, Denny remains calm and is ready to face the ongoing legal process. He also opens the door for Farhat if he wants to resolve this issue peacefully.

"What more is there to be disappointed about? Enough, the point is I do not want to sow hostility. But if challenged, we will come," said Denny Sumargo at the BPP KKSS Office, Bandungan Hilir Area, Jakarta, Tuesday (12/11/2024).

1. Does Not Rule Out the Possibility of Resolving the Issue Peacefully

Denny also added that he does not rule out the possibility of resolving this issue amicably. However, if legal proceedings must continue, he is also ready to face it.

"But if we want to settle things amicably, let's resolve it well. It means I will be reported, so I will face it," said Denny Sumargo.

As a law-abiding citizen, Denny expressed that he will follow the existing legal processes properly. He believes that the law should be fair and that all citizens have the same position in the eyes of the law.

"Sure, we are all Indonesian citizens. We are all the same," he said.

2. This Issue Disrupts Denny's Activities

Although he remains calm, Denny does not deny that this issue is quite disruptive to his activities. However, he chooses not to exaggerate the existing problem. For Denny, overly discussing the issue will only add to the problems.

"There is definitely (disruption), but why talk about it, exaggerating the problem is not my character. I don't mind if I suffer losses," he said.

On the same occasion, Denny also ensured that the polemic with the Bugis-Makassar community has been resolved. Previously, Denny had experienced a misunderstanding with that community, but it has been settled peacefully.

"If it's already clear, then it's clear. There are no more issues, clear. That's why I'm thankful," said Denny Sumargo.
