Ruben Onsu Attends Mediation Session for Child Custody at South Jakarta District Court

Ruben Onsu underwent a mediation session for a child custody lawsuit at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (22/7/2026). This mediation is part of the ongoing legal process between Ruben and Sarwendah.

“The mediation went well, and I hope everything will be fine,” said Ruben Onsu when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (22/7/2026).

He hopes that all stages taken will result in the best decision for all parties, especially for their children. After the meeting, Ruben also chose not to disclose the content of the discussions in the mediation room.

The mediation session took place at the South Jakarta District Court as a continuation of the child custody lawsuit involving Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah. This agenda is one of the formal stages that must be undertaken before the case moves to the next stage.

Ruben believes that the meeting with the mediator judge went as expected. He emphasized his desire for the outcome to benefit everyone, including the affected children.

“There are things that we don’t need to convey in mediation,” he said.

2. Communication Through the Mediator Judge

In the mediation, Ruben and Sarwendah did not communicate directly. All communication was conducted through the mediator judge who served as the intermediary.

“It wasn’t a conversation between the two of us, but rather a discussion mediated by the judge. So it wasn’t direct between us. The conversation was mediated, conveyed by me, and also from Sarwendah’s side,” he explained.

Ruben mentioned that this mechanism was applied during that meeting, allowing each party's views to be channeled through the mediator in the mediation room.

3. Further Agenda and Hopes of Ruben Onsu

The 41-year-old presenter stated that the mediation is not yet complete. There is still a next agenda that both parties will undergo, and he opened the possibility of meeting Sarwendah outside of court if necessary to facilitate the process.

“Not yet, there’s still more to come, there’s still another mediation. Oh of course, there will definitely be. Hopefully, the main thing is that we go through everything well according to the guidance, and we can all process everything. Not everything can just be resolved immediately; everything needs a process,” concluded Ruben.

“Yes, God willing, we all want the best. No one wants everything to go poorly; we want the best. Whatever is best, hopefully Allah makes the path easier,” he expressed.
