Sarwendah Attends Mediation Hearing, Hoping for the Best for Her Children

Sarwendah attended the continuation of the child custody case at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (22/7/2026). Today's agenda focuses on mediation regarding the child custody lawsuit filed by Ruben Onsu, which is hoped to be a first step towards the best resolution for both parties.

"What is certain is to pray, yes, hoping for the best for all the children," said Sarwendah when met at the South Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (22/7/2026).

She arrived at the court around 09:25 WIB with her legal team, Chris Sam Siwu and Abraham Simon. Before entering the mediation room, Sarwendah expressed her hope that the entire process would go smoothly for the sake of her children's future.

The mediation session at the South Jakarta District Court is a continuation of the ongoing child custody case. The mediation agenda is prepared to bring the parties before the mediator judge to find common ground.

On this occasion, Sarwendah was present accompanied by her two lawyers, Chris Sam Siwu and Abraham Simon. Their presence marked the start of the process scheduled for the morning.

Mediation is expected to be the first step in formulating the best resolution for both parties. This stage will determine the follow-up of the case after the parties have dialogued under the mediator's guidance.

2. The Principal's Presence Becomes the Mediator's Focus

Sarwendah's lawyer, Abraham Simon, emphasized the importance of the direct presence of the parties (principals) at the mediation agenda. According to him, this has been conveyed by the panel of judges in the previous hearing to ensure the process runs optimally.

"As for that, yes, that is his right, right? But based on what was conveyed by the panel yesterday, which was communicated through his attorney regarding mediation, it is mandatory for the principal to be present. So, we will wait and see later," said Abraham Simon.

He mentioned that the results of the mediation can only be known after both parties meet with the mediator judge. Therefore, his side chose to wait for the process to unfold before giving further assessment.

"Yes, we will see depending on the results of today's mediation. If the principal comes, it means that the principals can meet, mediated by the judge. We will see later what the chances are," said Abraham Simon.

3. Legal Counsel Emphasizes Child's Interests

On the other hand, Chris Sam Siwu emphasized that every legal step taken by his client is solely oriented towards the child's interests. He rejected the notion of any other interests in the ongoing process.

"But once again, everything we do is for the child's interests, right? There are no interests of our client, no interests of the legal counsel Bang Minola, right? So everything is for the child's interests. So we just ask for your prayers that this can be resolved in the best and quickest way possible, okay?" concluded Chris Sam Siwu.

Chris added that his side is waiting for the results of the meeting between the parties and the mediator before providing further information regarding the case's developments. Their focus remains on the ongoing process according to the court's directions.

With the mediation process at the South Jakarta District Court underway, Sarwendah's side prioritizes the child's interests. The results of the mediation will serve as a reference for the next steps in the child custody case.
