Ruben Onsu Officially Named Suspect, Police Schedule Examination Next Week

Ruben Onsu has been named a suspect in an alleged fraud and embezzlement case. Following this designation, the South Jakarta Police are preparing to summon him for examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

The Head of Public Relations of the South Jakarta Police, AKP Joko Adi Wibowo, provided the latest updates regarding the legal process underway.

"RSO (Ruben Samuel Onsu) was just named a suspect yesterday. We will schedule a summons for him as his status is that of a suspect," said AKP Joko Adi Wibowo at the South Jakarta Police, Friday (21/8/2026).

1. Examination Agenda for Ruben Onsu

The summons for Ruben Onsu will be arranged after the determination of suspect status. According to the police, this agenda is a further stage of the investigation that has been ongoing.

Joko stated that the examination is planned for the near future, but the exact date has not been confirmed. The scheduling will adjust to the procedures for summoning at the investigation stage.

"We are likely to schedule the examination for next week," said Joko.

Although the schedule is being prepared, the police emphasized that the process is proceeding according to the applicable stages. Further information, including the time and technical details of the examination, will be provided after the official agenda is established.

2. Regarding Travel Ban and Identity of the Reporter

In response to questions regarding the possibility of a travel ban against Ruben Onsu, the police stated that this step has not been implemented at this stage. The legal process is said to continue according to the course of the investigation.

"Oh, not yet. It hasn't gone that far. Yes," asserted Joko.

The police also confirmed that the reporter in this case does not come from the ranks of celebrities or big businessmen. The identity of the reporter refers to the initials listed in the report.

"No. The reporter's initial is P," he revealed.

Furthermore, the police report related to this case was made on August 22, 2025. After about a year, the status of the case has entered a new chapter with the determination of a suspect against Ruben Onsu this week.
