"Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. Our mother/grandmother, Hj Ivo Fauziah Hanum binti TM Usman El Muhammady (Ivo Nilakreshna), has returned to the mercy of Allah. The deceased passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022, at 2:22 PM WIB at RSCM Kencana at the age of 83," reads a message that is circulating among journalists.
Ivo Nilakreshna was a Minangkabau-blooded singer who began his career in 1956. The mother of Astri Ivo has released more than 100 albums of various genres, from keroncong, pop, to jazz.
The body will be laid out at the funeral home located at Jln. Kenanga no.71, Jeruk Purut. Ampera. After that, Nilakreshna is planned to be buried at TPU Tanah Kusir on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 8 AM.
