Supreme Court Rejects Lawsuit, Ruben Onsu Apologizes to I Am Geprek Bensu

Kapanlagi.com - Ruben Onsu apparently met with Eddie Kusuma, the legal advisor of I Am Geprek Bensu, to convey his apology. This was done after the Supreme Court rejected Ruben Onsu's lawsuit regarding the Bensu trademark. According to Eddie, Ruben did this to maintain a good relationship.

When met in the Pancenongan area, Central Jakarta, Eddie conveyed this during a media session on Thursday (12/6). Both parties agreed to have good intentions in the meeting.

"Yesterday, on Thursday, Ruben met with me. Well, in that meeting, we both want to maintain this good relationship," said Eddie.

1. Ruben Onsu Regrets

In his confession, Ruben Onsu admitted that he regrets and also apologized to I Am Geprek Bensu. Ruben even did not prohibit the opposing party from holding a press conference to provide clarification about the real initial incident.

"He apologized to me, saying that if before (this case) he met his brother (Eddie), I think the problem wouldn't have escalated this far. I told him that if he wanted to hold a press conference today, he said it's okay," he said.

2. Eddie's Allegations About Ruben

Eddie suspects that the reason why Sarwendah's husband took the name Bensu is because he saw that the chicken geprek business was rapidly growing and successful. However, Bensu is an abbreviation for Benny Sujono, one of the long-time owners.

"The name Bensu already existed before, its full name is Benny Sujono. He (Ruben) himself only used the name Bensu in 2018. After he saw the good opportunity, he went to court and based on that, he sued us," he said.

According to Eddie, from the beginning, Ruben pursued a career as a public figure and was known to the public as Ruben Onsu, not Bensu.
