Episode 21, titled "Jujutsu Koshien," opens with the consequences of the fierce battle against Hanami. Gojo successfully defeats Hanami with extraordinary power, although Hanami manages to escape with half of his body destroyed. After the incident, the inter-school exchange event is almost canceled due to the damage that occurred. However, for some reason, it was decided to continue the event with a baseball match instead, providing a comedic break after the intense action.

While the students prepare for the baseball match, Mahito appears and saves the severely injured Hanami. Mahito then steals special grade cursed objects, namely "Sukuna's Finger" and "Cursed Womb: Death Paintings 1-3." It is revealed that Hanami's attack was merely a distraction to divert the sorcerers' focus, while the actual goal was the theft of the cursed objects by Mahito. Mahito and Geto continue to prepare their plan to seal Satoru Gojo, scheduled for October 31.

The baseball match begins with a more relaxed atmosphere, far from the previous life-and-death battle. Gojo acts as the referee, while Yuji becomes the catcher and Maki as the pitcher. Although this match was light-hearted, behind the scenes, the Jujutsu High faculty was facing serious issues related to the curse attack incident. Ijichi reported the casualties of the incident to the faculty, including three Grade 2 sorcerers and one Semi-Grade 1 who were killed, along with guards and supervisors.
