Tamara Tyasmara Cries While Giving Her Testimony in Dante's Death Trial

Kapanlagi.com - Tamara Tyasmara was the second witness presented in the trial for Dante's death case at the East Jakarta District Court on Monday (29/7/2024). While giving her testimony, Tamara cried as she recounted the chronology of when she learned that Dante had passed away.

In front of the panel of judges, Tamara Tyasmara recounted how she first heard from the defendant Yudha Arfandi that Dante had drowned. Tamara did not know that her son was taken by the defendant to the swimming pool.

"Pray, yes, Dante drowned', 'huh? How could that be?'. By the time I arrived at the hospital, Dante was already gone. Throughout the journey, I kept calling the defendant. I asked where Dante was taken? He said he was at Pondok Kopi hospital," said Tamara while crying in front of the panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court on Monday (29/7/2024).

The feeling of anxiety and uncertainty haunted Tamara during the journey to the hospital, hoping that her child would be okay. At the hospital, Tamara tried to wake Dante by pinching him. With hope, she thought the child was just unconscious and would wake up.

"I was there pinching him, I hoped he would wake up," she said.

2. Initially Did Not Want Dante to Be Autopsied

Initially, Tamara did not want an autopsy to be performed on Dante. However, her decision changed after many witnesses stated that Dante was murdered, and the CCTV footage from the pool showed something different from the defendant's confession at that time.

"I was shocked, confused, why what the defendant explained was different. I remember clearly, 'I was practicing swimming with Maura and Dante. While I was holding Maura, I saw Dante drowning. I saw him struggling to breathe. Yet, what I saw on CCTV was not like that," she revealed.

3. Died Due to Drowning

Tamara continued, she only learned the results of Dante's autopsy during the investigation. The child was declared dead due to drowning.

"It was conveyed when we were in the investigation. But at that time I was still confused and weak, so my family represented me. During the investigation after the autopsy. The result was that Dante was drowned and there was a lot of water in his body," concluded Tamara Tyasmara.
