Telkomsel Holds DCE 2021 to Drive Digital Transformation for SMEs Special

Kapanlagi.com - Telkomsel has just announced that it will hold the Digital Creative Entrepreneurs (DCE) 2021 program aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia. This program is part of Telkomsel's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and was launched with a webinar entitled Digital Mindset for Digital Acceleration. The webinar was attended by the Head of Growth of Kapanlagi Youniverse, Cahyanto Arie Wibowo, and the Co-Founder of Everwhite, Jessica Lin.

Through DCE, Telkomsel aims to open up broader opportunities for SMEs to enhance their digital capacity and capability. "Digital Creative Entrepreneurs 2021 is expected to be a great opportunity for SMEs to adapt and implement various latest technological developments to support the advancement of their business to a higher level," said Telkomsel's CSR General Manager, Andry P. Santoso, in a virtual press conference held on Tuesday (2/11/2021).

In 2020, Telkomsel actually held a similar program through Digital Creative Millennials, which specifically targeted small businesses in the fashion industry. However, this year, the program is open to all SMEs in Indonesia. In addition, according to Telkomsel's CSR Education and Community Development Manager, Hadi Sucipto, the DCE 2021 program is open to several categories of SMEs, such as culinary, fashion, and handicrafts.

1. DCE Program Series

This program will hold several series of activities for SME players who will join. Starting from webinars, workshops, to mentoring. "We don't just hold webinars. During the onboarding process, SME players can also participate in workshops to find out what they can do with the platform offered in the program, including intimate sessions with mentors," said Hadi.

According to Hadi, the participating mentors are not from big brands, but successful SME players. So, the program participants can feel the closeness regarding the materials based on the experiences of these mentors.

This program also embraces the spirit of collaboration by involving Telkomsel's digital ecosystem, such as 99 percent Usahaku, Telkomsel MyAds, and Kuncie. They also collaborate with Emtek Digital, such as Bukalapak, Vidio, and KLY.

2. Filtering 150 SMEs

The DCE 2021 program has several selection stages. Hadi said, out of all the SMEs that register, 150 SMEs will be selected to participate in the onboarding or program series. Then the participants will undergo orientation and mentoring for three weeks.

Not only that, SMEs can also get learning modules to develop their business. Furthermore, participants will be filtered again to become 15 participants to attend workshops, orientation, and mentoring for one week, and then selected again to become the top 9 SMEs.

"We will create a virtual exhibition and these 9 SME finalists will be at the forefront of that virtual exhibition. So, this program will truly teach the end-to-end process for SMEs," he explained.
