Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven officially divorced on April 16, 2025. Recently, a recording containing their voices has circulated. In the viral recording, Baim Wong questions Paula Verhoeven for still communicating with a man with the initials NS, who is suspected to be the third party in their marriage. Baim feels betrayed because he believes Paula lied about the intensity of her communication with the man. The voice recording was uploaded by the Instagram account @playitsafebabynews. "Do you have his WhatsApp, when was the last time? Let me find it," said Baim Wong as seen on the IG account @playitsafebabynews, on Friday (April 25).
When Baim saw Paula's chat with NS, it was noted that their last communication occurred on April 14. This felt inconsistent with Paula's explanation. "This is April 14, you said it was a long time ago," he concluded.
However, Paula defended herself, feeling that she had not been in contact with the man. Paula also mentioned that she did not remember and then apologized to Baim.
The conversation in the recording shows Baim Wong's emotions of disappointment and anger because Paula had lied to him several times. Baim affirmed his decision by uttering the words of divorce accompanied by the phrase "Bismillahirrahmanirrahim" to indicate that the decision was made calmly and not out of momentary emotion.
"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, I want a divorce. I want a divorce from you, forgive me. I can't do this anymore, I want a divorce," said Baim Wong. "Don't be emotional, dear," said Paula Verhoeven while crying.
"I'm not (emotional) where do you see me being emotional? I'm not emotional. This is already the divorce," Baim Wong continued.
From the recording, it is clear that Baim's decision to divorce Paula is final. "I want a divorce. I've said it three times. I've said 'In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.' Forgive me," said Baim Wong again.
