Tio Pakusadewo Shivers, Experiences Stroke After Playing a Stroke Patient in a Film

Kanjeng Raden Tumenggung Irwan Susetyo Pakusadewo or better known as Tio Pakusadewo shares an unexpected story about his health condition. The 61-year-old man revealed that he suffered a stroke in 2020, shortly after playing a stroke patient in a feature film.

"And annoyingly, before I had a stroke, I was shooting a film called BUKAAN DELAPAN, where I played a stroke patient. Just like that," he said when met on Captain Tendean Street, Mampang, South Jakarta, Tuesday (4/8/2025). Check it out in full! If not now, when?

Tio, who has been known to the public since starring in the film LOVE IN A SLICE OF BREAD (1990), feels that the moment was a surprising coincidence. He experienced a stroke for the first time while alone at home in the early morning.

After several hours lying helpless, he finally contacted his old friends who quickly came to his house to help. They even dared to climb the fence to get into Tio's house and found him in a helpless condition.

"The ones who came were my friends, friends from middle school, they arrived at his house at 12, climbed over the fence, broke everything, and entered my room in a state where I couldn't do anything," Tio revealed.

They immediately tried to help as much as they could, even using traditional methods before finally taking Tio to the hospital. Fortunately, Tio was still in the golden hour phase, so help could be given in time.

"During the golden hour, they tried to get the blood out from his hand, from his ear, from everywhere, and then took him to RS PON. Luckily, he was taken there; if not, he might have been in serious trouble," he said.

This experience made Tio even more convinced that health cannot be predicted and must be taken care of seriously. Nevertheless, he continues to live life casually and without worrying too much about illness.
