Uya Kuya firmly denied the rumor. He assured that he has never left Indonesia after the disaster that befell him.

"I swear to God I have not gone abroad," Uya replied firmly when confirmed at the East Jakarta Metro Police, Wednesday (03/9/2025).

This father of two admitted that he also became a victim of another hoax deliberately created to escalate the situation. He urged the public to be smarter in filtering information.

"Please, be smarter in observing, do not be swayed by the hoaxes circulating on social media. I am a victim of hoax," he asserted.

Furthermore, Uya described the psychological impact he experienced. He admitted that he only dared to watch videos of the looting of his house after a few days, as he felt traumatized. During that time, he and his family stayed in a safe location.

"I just saw the looting video yesterday or maybe it was almost two days ago. So two days ago, I hadn't seen anything yet," he stated.

"Because to be honest, I am still in a safe house right now, in a secure place," Uya continued, explaining his reason for not appearing in public for some time.
