Kapanlagi.com - Artist Venna Melinda has finally realized her statement to file for divorce again from Ferry Irawan, the man who is still legally her husband. This divorce petition was not filed by Venna herself, but through her legal representative.
"Today we come as the legal representatives of Venna Melinda to file for divorce from Ferry Irawan. Because it has been over 6 months, it is legally void," said Emi Wiranto, a member of Venna Melinda's legal team at the South Jakarta Religious Court, on Tuesday (3/9/2024).
It is known that Venna and Ferry had previously undergone divorce proceedings until a decision was made. The panel of judges at the South Jakarta Religious Court granted the divorce petition filed by Ferry.

However, in that ruling, Venna filed an appeal and after a long process, it finally concluded. Unfortunately, Ferry did not perform the divorce declaration, resulting in the divorce hearing being dismissed, which means both are still legally husband and wife until now.
"It is true that it has been divorced, it should have been followed up with a divorce declaration. However, the declaration has not been carried out until now. According to the law, if the ruling is not executed within 6 months, it automatically becomes void," said another attorney for Vena, Wijayono Hadisukrisno.
Not wanting to wait any longer, Venna finally decided to be the one to file for divorce. Of course, to avoid the previous situation, because if the woman files, the man does not have to perform the divorce declaration.
"If it is dismissed, what is the way out? Well, we file for divorce. In the divorce filing, we just want to separate amicably," explained Wijayono.
The divorce petition has been registered with case number 3010 /Pdt. G 120 2H IPAJS. In this lawsuit, Venna only wants a divorce, without including claims for property or anything else.
Moreover, Venna is said by Emi to no longer be in any communication with Ferry. Essentially, Venna wants the divorce process to be completed quickly so she can continue her life without this issue.
"There is no communication at all, basically everyone wants to separate amicably," she concluded.
