Weekend Becomes a Gathering Moment, Here are 7 Photos of Jeje Govinda Who Continues to Make Time for Family Amidst His Duties as Regent

Since taking office as the Regent of West Bandung, Jeje Ritchie Ismail, or more commonly known as Jeje Govinda, faces a new challenge in balancing his government duties and his role as a father. This new activity impacts his family life, which has been living in Jakarta, especially for his two children who are still in school.

"It's really about managing time because my kids are still in school in Jakarta. Because they haven't transitioned yet, InshaAllah they will all move there (to Bandung) soon. For now, the kids usually go there during the holidays," said Jeje in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, on Saturday (10/5/2025). Here are the details.

This transition period certainly raises questions from the children who are starting to feel the change in routine. Syahnaz Sadiqah, Jeje's wife, revealed how her children have begun to express their longing for their father.

"Enough. Daddy never comes home, Mommy, like that. So, they haven't moved up a grade yet. So, it really has to be finished first. Later in the new school year, hopefully, we can move them," said Syahnaz.

Even though they are temporarily separated by city, Jeje and Syahnaz still strive to provide good explanations to their children. Open communication is the key to ensure that the children still feel close even though they are physically apart.

"Yes, explained. Daddy works in Bandung. They are given understanding, and they also understand," said Syahnaz.

Amid Jeje's busy schedule, the weekend becomes the most anticipated moment to spend time with family. Jeje strives to make the most of the weekend for chatting and relieving longing.

"Yes, that's why if possible they usually go to Bandung on weekends. Because on weekends my schedule might not be as packed as on weekdays," said Jeje.

Simple moments like having meals together become important activities to keep family relationships warm. According to Jeje, it is these small moments that can maintain emotional bonds even amidst ongoing busyness. "So, we can still find time during holidays," Jeje concluded.
