Wendy Cagur Mourns the Death of Nina Mpok Alpa, Regrets Not Being Able to Visit in the Hospital

Kapanlagi.com - The passing of comedian Nina Carolina, popularly known as Mpok Alpa, has left a deep sorrow in the Indonesian entertainment world. Several artist friends, including Wendy Cagur, were seen at the funeral home in the Jagakarsa area, South Jakarta, on Friday (15/8/2025), to pay their last respects.

The expression of sadness and shock could not be hidden from Wendy Cagur's face when met at the location. The man, whose real name is Wendy Armoko, admitted that he never expected to lose his friend so soon. He also recounted the moments when he first heard the sad news.

"From Inyong who informed me, because we were exercising and then we were told that Mpok Alpa had passed away, I was shocked. I couldn’t say anything at all," said Wendy Cagur at the funeral home, Friday (15/8/2025).

As a friend, Wendy immediately offered her best prayers for the deceased. This famous comedian believes that Mpok Alpa was a good person and her passing on a Friday is also a good sign.

"We all pray for the best because Mpok Alpa was a good person and she passed away on a Friday, Insya Allah she is accepted by Him. And all friends and family will surely miss her a lot. I hope we can offer the best prayers for Mpok Alpa," she said.

2. Wendy Did Not Know Mpok Alpa Was Sick

All this time, Wendy admitted that she had no knowledge at all about the illness that Mpok Alpa suffered from. She explained that the news circulating was still unclear and she hadn't had the chance to ask directly to the person concerned.

"Not at all. I didn't know that Mpok Alpa was sick. And even if I heard that news, it was still unclear because I have never asked directly and coincidentally have never met Mpok Alpa either," she explained.

3. Wendy Regrets Not Being Able to Visit in the Hospital

The latest information regarding Mpok Alpa's condition was actually obtained from another artist friend, Ruben Onsu, who had the chance to visit the deceased. The man born in Jakarta expressed his regret for not being able to visit his friend in person.

"The last information I got was yesterday from Ruben who just visited Mpok Alpa and said that her condition seems to be less, not good like that. And coincidentally, I haven't had time to see Mpok Alpa's condition directly," said Wendy.

In Wendy's eyes, Mpok Alpa is a figure who always brings joy and is good at hiding her burdens. He only found out later that behind her laughter, the deceased was fighting a big struggle against an illness that she did not want to show to others.

"A fun person, I mean a person who starts with fun things, covered with fun things too. I mean, I knew, eventually knew that she had been sick for a long time and she hid her illness from others, so that maybe others wouldn't think about it and all that. She didn't want to burden others," he reminisced.

The dedication and professionalism of Mpok Alpa in her work left a deep impression on Wendy. He admired the spirit of the late Mpok Alpa who continued to work amidst her struggle against illness.

"Well, that’s it. Yes, it goes back to how the late Mpok Alpa dedicated her life to her work, being professional with her job. In the midst of her illness and also trying to recover, going to various treatments, she still worked," said Wendy.

"Perhaps, that’s one professionalism, and secondly, it might be her way of how to forget her illness and make her life more, what can I say, continue on without having to think excessively about her illness which could have stressed her in her condition. Rather than overthinking, yes," Wendy concluded.
