Will Not Be Postponed, Galih Ginanjar Continues the Ongoing Trial Amidst the Corona Pandemic

Kapanlagi.com - On March 23, 2020, Galih Ginanjar and two defendants in the salted fish case, Rey Utami and Pablo Benua, continued their ongoing trial. In the trial, the Prosecutor read out the demands against the 3 defendants.

Among all the demands read out, Galih Ginanjar received the highest demand from Rey and Pablo with a sentence of three years and six months in prison. Galih Ginanjar's legal counsel, Sugiyarto Atmo Widjoyo, said that Galih will present a plea in the ongoing trial.

"The next step in the trial next week, Sir. We will present a plea," said Sugiyarto when contacted by KapanLagi team, Thursday (26/3).

1. Galih Ginanjar's Plea Statement

Sugiyarto said that during the upcoming continuation of the trial, Galih Ginanjar will present the flawed legal statement of Fairuz A Rafiq. 

"One of them is that the legal statement is flawed because what is reported in this case is fabricated," said Sugiyarto.

According to Sugiyarto, in the viral salted fish video on Rey and Pablo's YouTube account a while ago, Galih Ginanjar never said what was stated in Fairuz's legal statement. 

"I will only state based on the existing legal facts. The legal fact is that Galih never stated what the plaintiff reported," he continued. 

2. Continuing the Trial Amidst the Corona Pandemic

This continuation of Galih Ginanjar's trial will indeed be held amidst the corona pandemic that is affecting Indonesia. According to Sugiyarto, the trial will continue because they are chasing after the almost completed detention period. 

"It will continue because we are chasing after the almost completed detention period," he explained. 

The continuation of the trial for the salted fish case involving Galih Ginanjar and two other defendants will be held on March 30 at the South Jakarta District Court.
