Yura Yunita Holds Solo Concert 'Pertunjukan Tutur Batin', Invites Surabaya to Ride an Emotional Roller Coaster

The concert titled 'Tutur Batin Live Concert 2023' was held in two different cities, Surabaya and Jakarta. Yura Yunita successfully rocked Surabaya at Jatim EXPO on Friday (6/9/2023) and then followed by her performance at the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan on June 16, 2023.

Released in the midst of the pandemic where events that bring crowds were limited, Yura previously held a Full Album Virtual Concert version of 'Tutur Batin' which premiered on the YURA YUNITA YouTube channel on October 29, 2021, shortly after the album's release. Through the performance that took the audience on an emotional roller coaster, Yura presented beautiful visuals from the eleven songs on the 'Tutur Batin' album itself.

"Through this album, I want to convey my deepest heartfelt expression honestly. 'Tutur Batin' in my journey as a human being who goes through meetings, losses, denials, anger, fantasies, depression, and the healing process, accepting everything that happens and celebrating all the processes of life," said Yura Yunita in a virtual press conference for her album.

The fans' wait ended when Yura announced the promised solo concert that would be special because it is not just an ordinary music concert. Through the 'Tutur Batin Show', Yura invites fans to celebrate not only their bodies but also their feelings through dance and visualization of her songs. Located in Jatim EXPO, 'Pertunjukan Tutur Batin' in Surabaya was flooded by enthusiastic fans who enjoyed Yura Yunita's performance live. Even before the ticket exchange time began, a group of fans could be seen lining up in front of the venue.

Despite the large number of viewers who had already crowded in since the afternoon, the concert venue remained conducive. The audience lined up orderly according to the category of tickets they had until they entered the venue.

One thing that caught the attention in the midst of the sea of Hip Hip Yura (the name for Yura Yunita's fans), many came with their best appearance wearing traditional cloth which was packaged in modern OOTD. In her first solo concert, Yura Yunita performed 22 songs that were packaged beautifully and successfully brought the audience on a roller coaster of emotions. Not only did she make the audience shed tears with her songs that have deep meaning, Yura also invited the audience to interact in her lively songs.

Not only songs from the album Tutur Batin, Yura also performed songs from her previous albums, as well as the song Risalah Hati popularized by the legendary band Dewa 19 and Lihatlah Lebih Dekat from the old movie 'PETUALANGAN SHERINA' which was remade in 2023.

Yura Yunita started her performance with the song Make Your Moves, lively accompanied by back dancers. The singer born on June 9, 1991 was so charming wearing traditional clothing with a modern touch. In the middle of the concert, Yura also changed into a beautiful white outfit.

In her concert this time, Yura also shared a surprising story from her past. It turns out that when she was in 4th grade, Yura was seriously ill and couldn't even get up or walk for a year and a half.

Due to the rare disease she had, Yura's feet grew unevenly, with one foot being size 37 and the other 38, which is why she couldn't wear high-heeled shoes.

Yura, who lost most of her childhood, spent more time at home watching movies on DVD. At that time, there was one children's film that she watched every day and became her friend when she was sick.

Unexpectedly, 22 years later, Yura was trusted to sing the soundtrack of the film again. Yup, the film in question is 'PETUALANGAN SHERINA' and the audience of the 'Pertunjukan Tutur Batin' concert in Surabaya were lucky enough to be the first to listen to Yura's version of the song Lihatlah Lebih Dekat, which was performed live for the first time.

4. Debut Performance of a Meaningful Song

Not only Lihatlah Lebih Dekat, but this concert was also the first time Yura performed Sudut Memori, which is equally meaningful for Yunita Rachman, her real name. Yura admitted that she had never performed the song live before because she found it difficult to get the right emotions.

Starting from the moment of looking for pre-wedding photo references with Donne Maula, Yura accidentally saw an inspiration photo at her parents' grave, which immediately reminded her then-fiancé of his late mother. Initially thought to be angry, Donne Maula instead wrote a song about the incident.

This musical couple decided to turn it into a song that was successfully recorded in one take. The deep emotions in this song were felt because Yura had lost a hero in her life the day before the recording.
