Zumi Zola Has No Objection to the Divorce Lawsuit Filed by His Wife

The spokesperson for the South Jakarta Religious Court, Cece Rukmana Ibrahim, stated that from the results of the first trial, it is known that Zumi Zola, as the defendant, has no objection to the lawsuit filed by his wife. Apparently, the former deputy governor of Jambi Province has gracefully accepted the divorce request from Sherrin Tharia after 8 years of marriage.

"Yesterday, I received information from the chief judge through his legal representative, the defendant has no objection to getting divorced from the plaintiff. This is the information conveyed to us by the chief judge," said Cece Rukmana Ibrahim when met at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (24/6) afternoon.

1. Efforts to Maintain Household

When asked further if Zumi Zola made any efforts to maintain his household, Cece Rukmana couldn't answer. This is because it should be asked directly to Zumi or his wife.

"Regarding efforts, maybe it will be left to the person concerned. But when asked by the chairman of the panel of judges, the legal representative of the defendant stated that the defendant has no objection to separating from his wife," he said.

2. Pure Divorce Lawsuit Family Issues

In addition, Cece said that the divorce lawsuit has nothing to do with Zumi Zola's current imprisonment. He said that this is purely due to household disputes.

"There doesn't seem to be any problem. Because the reasons for the lawsuit itself revolve around just disputes and arguments within the household," he added.
