5 Finalists of the Dangdut Academy 8 Group 7 Audition Advance to Top 53

Kapanlagi.com - The Dangdut Academy 8 Final Audition Group 7, broadcast live on Thursday (7/9/2026), once again presented fierce competition among participants from various regions in Indonesia. The judges provided various challenges to test the vocal quality, singing technique, and stage presence of each contestant.

After going through the entire series of performances, five participants were declared to have advanced to the Top 53. They are Cendi from Maumere, Listen from Kendal, Ari from Sampang, Keysha from East Belitung, and Anggini from Majene.

1. Cendi Maumere Borong Standing Ovation from the Jury

Cendi became one of the brightest participants that night. He performed consistently while singing Bale Pulang II alongside Eby DA5, Zaenal, Kamu Istimewa, Kumpulan Dusta, and Kejora, which repeatedly made the entire jury give a standing ovation.

Wika Salim praised Cendi's clear vocal color, Nassar assessed his vocal control and nuances as very mature, while Soimah mentioned that his performance was almost flawless. Improvements in articulation from the previous round were also appreciated, ensuring Cendi advanced to the Top 53.

2. Listen Kendal Appears Confident with a Distinctive Vocal Color

Listen began his performance with the song Siapa and received feedback to better adjust his stage style to the needs of television broadcasting. Nevertheless, Nassar still praised his unique vocal character, while Soimah reminded him to maximize his expressions and gestures.

His confidence became more evident when performing Salahmu Sendiri. This performance even received direct praise from King Nassar and led Listen to advance to the next round.

3. Ari Sampang Captivates Judges with Vocal Improvisation

Ari demonstrated a convincing performance through the songs Aku Bukan Rahwana, Citra Cinta, and Gejolak Asmara. Wika Salim noted that Ari has a strong vocal character and sounds effortless, while Nassar praised the improvisation he displayed.

Soimah also appreciated Ari's vocal nuances and tone. Although he experienced a vocal crack during the challenge against Frazio, the judges praised his emotional expression. Ari successfully secured a ticket to the Top 53.

4. Keysha from East Belitung Rises Despite Being Nervous

Keysha performed as the last contestant, singing the song Balqis. Her nervousness was noticeable and caught the attention of Wika Salim and Nassar, who understood her condition. Soimah assessed that her vocal quality was good, but her stage presence still needed to be strengthened.

When she duetted with Anggini singing Sekali Seumur Hidup, their harmony was considered not fully integrated. Nevertheless, Keysha managed to convince the judges and advanced to the next round.

5. Anggini Majene Shows Positive Development

Anggini opened her performance with the song Asmara and received praise from Wika Salim for enjoying the song more than in her previous performance. This development adds value during the Final Audition.

Nassar and Soimah still provided evaluations regarding control of high notes and the need to present a stronger trademark. Nevertheless, Anggini's performance was considered solid enough to advance her to the Top 53 along with four other participants.
