Kapanlagi.com - One of the contestants who caught attention in Dangdut Academy 8 is Kani, from Bandung. In the initial auditions of Dangdut Academy 8, Kani succeeded in capturing the judges' attention with her stunning performance. She successfully received three green lights or '3 Yes' from the judges, which means she advanced to the Final Audition round.
In that audition, Kani performed two songs with different characters, namely 'Si Kecil' and 'Love Asmara'. Kani stated, "I sang the songs 'Si Kecil' and 'Love Asmara' and immediately got 3 Yes from the judges," when met at Studio 5 Emtek City, West Jakarta, on Friday (3/7/2026).
Even though she has successfully passed, Kani does not feel satisfied and remains focused on preparing her best performance for the next round. She has strong confidence in her chances in this competition. "God willing, I am confident. I am confident not just because of my belief in my heart, sis," she said. Kani also wants to prove that being a dangdut singer is not an easy journey. "I want to develop my talent that I really love. I also want to prove to everyone that being a dangdut singer is not something small, it also requires struggle," she asserted.
Kani is determined to continue self-evaluation and considers criticism and feedback as important tools for improving her quality. "I will evaluate myself first, sis. I want to ask myself what my shortcomings are. God willing, I am confident because it's just a matter of heart," she added. Her love for dangdut music has grown since she was eight years old, and she is inspired by April DA7 to show that dangdut music can be presented elegantly.
However, Kani's journey in Dangdut Academy 8 must end at the Final Audition Group 4. This round was broadcast live on Friday (3/7/2026) and advanced six participants to the next round. In this group, Kani competed with other participants such as Anisa from Ogan Komering Ilir, Bintang from the Bangka Belitung Islands, Mela from Bandung, Melani from Sidrap, Sahwan from Sampang, and Syafiq from Nunukan.
Although Kani's journey stops here, her dedication and journey in the world of dangdut music deserve applause. Hopefully, Kani can continue to develop her talent and fight again in the next opportunity.
