Kapanlagi.com - Mela Pujayanti's success in advancing to the Final Audition of D'Academy 8 has become an unforgettable moment for her. The 18-year-old contestant from Bandung expressed gratitude while also feeling the pressure to showcase her best abilities in front of the judges.
Being part of Group 4, Mela realizes that the competition for the next round will not be easy. Nevertheless, she chooses to focus on preparing her performance rather than thinking about her competitors.
"Honestly, I'm feeling nervous, happy, it's like a mix of emotions. The bottom line is I'm really happy, insyaallah. Please pray for me," said Mela when met at Studio 5 Emtek City, West Jakarta, Friday (3/7/2026).

According to Mela, each participant of D'Academy 8 has a different vocal character. Therefore, she believes that the results of the competition will depend on each performance and the assessment of the judges.
"I don't see everyone as good, but each person has their own character. So it goes back to luck and the judges' taste," she explained.
In addition to continuously honing her singing skills, Mela places mental readiness as the main capital before going on stage.
"Of course, mental is number one. Mental, voice, and of course we pray, that's the heavenly path," she revealed.
Mela admits that family support in Bandung is her biggest motivation during her participation in D'Academy 8. She hopes to continue progressing in the competition, but is also ready to accept whatever results she obtains.
"The point is I still have to learn, maybe out there is my luck. Alhamdulillah, I am definitely happy, very grateful to be given this golden opportunity," she said.
