Kapanlagi.com - The success of Sridevi on the Dangdut Academy stage has become a great inspiration for Anisa Syakila to follow in her footsteps. The contestant from Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra, admitted that she became interested in joining D'Academy after seeing her idol's journey in the event.
Anisa stated that since then she has been regularly following the developments of D'Academy and dreams of one day standing on the same stage. "I started following DA since Kak Sridevi auditioned," said Anisa when met by KapanLagi at Studio 5 Emtek City, West Jakarta, Friday (3/7/2026).
Although she faced failure in the previous season due to not meeting the age requirement, Anisa did not give up. That wait finally paid off when she successfully advanced to the Final Audition of D'Academy 8.
"Thank God I was chosen, I am really grateful. Thank you also to Indosiar for accepting me at this stage," she said.

Anisa expressed that, besides being inspired by Sridevi, she also wants to fulfill the hopes of her parents who have always supported her journey to become a singer.
"First, I want to make my parents happy, and I also want to fulfill their wishes, plus I want to become an artist," she said.
Now, Anisa is determined to make the most of her opportunity in D'Academy 8. She wants to continue learning and prove that she can compete with the best contestants from all over Indonesia.
"I really want to prove that I can do it, God willing. Now, thank God, even though I am still at this stage, I am very grateful," Anisa concluded.
